The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) "categorically" denies the information in the public space regarding a "so-called situation that occurred during the night of Sunday to Monday, in which Russian drones would have fallen on the national territory of Romania".
MApN points out that the responsible structures of the Ministry of National Defense "monitored in real time the situation generated by the Russian attacks carried out with drones, both last night and Saturday to Sunday, on the infrastructure in the vicinity of the Ukrainian ports on the Danube", agerpres reports.
Also, the Romanian ministry reiterates that it has taken increased vigilance measures in the national land, sea and air space and contributes to strengthening the defense and deterrence posture on the eastern flank, according to national and allied plans.
"These attacks of the Russian Federation directed against the objectives and civil infrastructure in Ukraine are unjustified and are in deep contradiction with the rules of international humanitarian law," say the MApN representatives.
Previously, Reuters reported, on Monday, that a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that Russian drones fell and were detonated on the territory of Romania, during an attack on Ukrainian ports, which took place during the night.
