The minister of development, Adrian Vestea, on Thursday stated that the PNL (National Liberal Party) will not leave the government, informs Agerpres.

"The PNL has stated that it will not leave the government. We have a government programme that we need to continue. Each of the ministers will stay until the end of their term in office, except for me," said VeStea, at the Palace of the Parliament, before the BPN (National Political Bureau) meeting of PNL.

He stated that PNL will not block the projects that are needed by Romanians.

"That's why we're in government, to have a balance," said the minister.

For his part, PNL deputy Adrian Cozma claimed that PNL must "protect Romania from the long hand of the PSD (Social Democratic Party)."

"My conclusion is that we must protect Romania from the long hand of the PSD and the PSD clan that wants to take over Romania. Well, if they subordinated the Constitutional Court, do we want them to subordinate the entire rule of law? (...) For example, we won't let them steal the elections, we don't let Stanescu take any more subsidies and everything that can be stolen, and you all see the Nordis octopus, for it is obvious they want to get their hands on the ministry of interior, on everything, actually, because this is the biggest attack they did so far to the constitutional order in Romania," said the Deputy.

He also stated that the PNL also stays in government to carry forward the projects it supports, such as Anghel Saligny.
