Spanish musician Xavier Diaz-Latorre, one of the most appreciated interpreters of early European guitar, is set to perform on Tuesday, at the Auditorium Hall of the National Museum of Art of Romania, as part of the 20th edition of the Bucharest Early Music Festival.
"Xavier is an artist known for his technical refinement, versatility and remarkable expressiveness. Each of his performances is an emotional and authentic journey into the sound universe of the Baroque music," the event organizers said in a Facebook post, agerpres reports.
The artist is a permanent professor of lute, basso continuo and early guitar at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel and at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels.
The programme includes works by two of the most important composers for the baroque guitar: Robert de Visee and Johann Hieronymus Kapsberger.
