The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) announces that it has put into consultation on Friday the order regulating the general framework for the development of partnerships for institutional support, an instrument for increasing the quality of education and reducing the gaps between schools.

According to the MEC, the document establishes the mechanism through which pre-university education units, especially those with limited resources or located in disadvantaged areas, can benefit from support from other schools or external partners - NGOs, local authorities, the economic environment, universities.

Partnerships will be able to be concluded between a minimum of two education units, at their initiative or upon the recommendation of school inspectorates, with representation for urban, rural and vulnerable areas, the cited source specifies.

The types of activities that can be carried out include: online or demonstration lessons; thematic workshops for novice teachers; support activities for school management and educational leadership; counseling on the use of technology and the creation of digital educational resources.

The activities can take place physically or online and can also be carried out within school consortia that already exist or that can be established for this purpose.
