The second concert of the "Acoustic Autumn" season at Kalnoky Castle in Miclosoara, scheduled for 11 October, will pay tribute to one of the most iconic rock bands in history - Pink Floyd - marking the 60th anniversary of its founding.
The event, entitled "Echoes of Pink Floyd", will take place in the castle's candle-lit wine cellar, where the audience will enjoy acoustic renditions of some of the band's most famous songs, including "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", "Wish You Were Here", and "Echoes", performed by Diana Ichim on piano and Toth-Gyorbiro Apor on cello.
The "Acoustic Autumn" series opened last month with the concert "007 - The Music of James Bond", featuring some of the best-known themes from the 007 films, and will continue on 1 November with the "Halloween Special: Twilight & Harry Potter".
"Today's concerts are more than a source of joy - they are bridges between the past and the present. I believe that the timeless language of music has the power to connect us across eras and borders,' said Count Tibor Kalnoky, host of the event, quoted in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday.
Tickets are available on Eventim and include a buffet dinner served in the castle's wine cellar.
Organisers are also offering a gift voucher, and those interested can stay at Count Kalnoky's Guesthouses.
During the "Summer Season" edition, audiences enjoyed acoustic reinterpretations of works by emblematic artists such as Enya, Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, and Coldplay, with the final concert taking place in the castle garden, in a Renaissance-inspired setting.
