The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) and the Standing Electoral Authority (AEP) specify that the existing electoral infrastructure at the level of the two institutions is functional, and the electoral process can take place under normal conditions, according to the approved calendar.
"Following the special meteorological phenomena that occurred in the City of Bucharest on Saturday, June 8, the existing electoral infrastructure at the level of the Standing Electoral Authority and the Central Electoral Bureau is functional, and the electoral process will take place under normal conditions, according to the calendar approved. We make it clear that the IT systems at the AEP and BEC level are working within the optimal parameters," informs the AEP in a press release.
AEP adds that, following the fall of large quantities of liters of water per square meter, there was a superficial flooding of the BEC headquarters, the rug of several offices being partially affected. Other parts of the BEC headquarters and its equipment were not affected.
