The price of electricity delivered on Friday will reach the highest level of 2018, from 521 MWh on Romanian Power Market Operator (OPCOM)'s spot energy market, according to the data presented on the website of the stock market operator.
The most expensive energy will be delivered on Friday between 19:00hrs and 20:00hrs. The daily average is 302 lei per MWh.
However, the average price in Romania (64.87 euro per MWh) is not the largest of the countries which the spot market is coupled with. In Hungary, it reached 65.58 euro per MWh, in Slovakia - 64.62 euro per MWh and in the Czech Republic - 52.22 euro per MWh.
According to Transelectrica data, the national energy production on Thursday at 13:30hrs stood at 7,003 MW and the consumption was 7,183 MW, the difference being imported.
