Administration officials and leaders of energy companies, academia and NGOs participate, on Thursday, in the first edition of the Energy for Romania conference organised by the Electrica Group in partnership with the Electrica Foundation.
"The event marks the beginning of a first-time initiative that combines energy technological innovation with social responsibility, under the concept of business to charity. The goal is to create a platform for dialogue and networking for leaders in energy and technology, while bringing a real social impact by supporting the projects of the Electrica Foundation. Under the umbrella of the business to charity' concept, the event brings together administration officials, leaders in energy, education, technology and civil society, within a framework dedicated to dialogue and collaboration for Romania's sustainable energy future," according to organisers.
Among the confirmed speakers are presidential adviser Radu Burnete, Minister of Energy Bogdan Ivan, Chairman of the Financial Oversight Authority Alexandru Petrescu, General Manager of the Bucharest Stock Exchange Remus Vulpescu, along with leaders from energy companies, academia and NGOs.
An attraction of the event is the exhibition area, created in partnership with the Dimitrie Leonida Technical Museum that brings spectacular exhibits to the public. These include a life-size replica of the Apollo 11 lunar module, Buzz Aldrin's astronaut suit, Justin Capra's visionary inventions, the Persu aerodynamic car, the OROLES Electroscooter, Karpen batteries, as well as cars and historical computing and communication devices.
