Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan held talks on Saturday with US Secretary of Interior Doug Burgum and Jarrod Agen, the Executive Director of the White House's National Energy Dominance Council, about projects to develop Romania's civil nuclear, hydro, natural gas and technology capacities.
"Following two in-depth discussions with my US counterpart Chris Wright, the US Secretary of Energy, today, I had a direct, high-level meeting with Washington officials on projects to develop Romania's civil nuclear, hydro, natural gas and technology capacities. Funding the civil nuclear projects at Cernavoda, SMRs, the exploitation of natural gas in the Black Sea and the construction of an LNG corridor to supply Central and South-Eastern European countries with natural gas at a good price," Bogdan Ivan wrote in a post on his Facebook page.
According to the Romanian minister, he presented the US officials with "solid projects and clear figures."
"We are already at the stage of concrete projects and have gained the trust of our US partners because we presented solid projects and clear figures. As I said yesterday at the PSD [Social Democratic Party] Congress, my goal is to work closely with our US partners in order to bring tangible investments and cutting-edge technology to Romania.
