"The Soul of Romania: Celebrating Together the Cultural Heritage" Gala, an event dedicated to the Romanian cultural heritage, organized on the occasion of the end of the mandate of president of the UNESCO General Conference exercised during the period 2023 - 2025 by the Romanian ambassador to the organization, Simona-Mirela Miculescu, will take place on Thursday in Paris.
According to a press release sent on Tuesday to AGERPRES, specially designed for the event at the Maison de l'UNESCO, the CREART production was made with the support of Therme Group and the Sibiu County Council, starring the members of the Professional Folklore Ensemble "Cindrelul - Junii Sibiului".
"The audience will enjoy a journey through the ethnographic regions of Romania, through musical-choreographic paintings created by Silvia Macrea, the ensemble's manager, illustrated with video by Carmen Vidu and performed by the dancers and orchestra of Junii Sibiului (conductor Radu Dinescu), as well as soloists Paul Ananie, Alexandru Bradatan, Ana Duminica, Gabriel Dumitru, Andreea Haisan, Adrian Neamtu, Robert Tarnaveanu and Oana Tomoiaga", the cited source informs.
The event will bring together ambassadors, representatives of the 194 UNESCO member states, high-ranking officials of this organization, international civil servants, cultural and academic personalities, artists, journalists and lovers of Romanian folklore and culture.

Since its accession to UNESCO (July 27, 1956), Romania has been an active member of all seven UNESCO cultural conventions and is active in their subsidiary bodies.
Simona-Mirela Miculescu is the first Romanian to hold the position of President of the UNESCO General Conference and the fifth woman to lead this forum in the organization's 80-year history.
