At a news conference on Thursday, manager of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS), actor Constantin Chiriac, unveiled the full schedule of this year's festival, which he said "is an unprecedented edition" with almost 5,000 participants from 82 countries bringing 830 events to the former European Capital of Culture.
"Probably Friendship [the theme of this year's edition] has brought together so many big names from John Malkovich to Pippo Delbono, from Tim Robbins to Sasha Waltz, from Mikhail Baryshnikov to Isabelle Adjani, from Neil LaBute to Jan Fabre. There are so many that we have not mentioned yet, so we invite the public to discover the schedule on our website and in the FITS application, to follow all our communication channels, because we are trying to adapt our message on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and the FITS blog," said Chiriac.
According to him, Sibiu will host 198 outdoor performances during the festival, to which admision will be free.
FITS takes place in Sibiu, June 21- 30.
