The Ministry of Finance is in a dialogue with the European Commission in order to identify the best solutions that will lead to economic development, as well as to an alignment with the economic principles taken up as a member of the EU, without having established a set of measures to be subject to a tax reform.
The reaction of the Ministry of Finance comes after public rumours about the government's intention to hike rates and taxes, and cancel certain tax incentives that it says come from an old working document and do not represent the current plans of the Government.
"Any significant tax change will be officially announced and will be subjected to public debates with the business community and civil society before being adopted by the Government," according to the ministry.
