A fire that broke out at the edge of a forest near the city of Baia Mare has affected an area of over 25 hectares of vegetation, Maramures County Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) Spokesperson Adriana Santa informs on Tuesday.
The affected area is inaccessible to firefighting vehicles, so the fire is being extinguished using individual intervention means.
"The Valea Rosie area is inaccessible to firefighting vehicles, at the moment, intervention is being carried out with individual means and the intervention forces will be reinforced, if necessary. The estimated area is approximately 25 hectares," said Adriana Santa.
According to her, the Baia Mare Fire Department is intervening with two water and foam fire trucks, an UTV and a primary intervention and command vehicle.
