The living exhibition "Flori de ie" (Flowers of the Romanian blouse 'ie') was opened on Tuesday in the Clock Tower of the Saschiz fortified church in order to promote the intangible heritage and traditional Romanian values, as part of the International Camp of Art Residency - "Legaturi" (Ties) of the project carrying the same name, implemented by the Saschiz Volunteer Center in partnership with the municipality and the University of Arts Targu Mures.

The exhibition-event "Flori de ie" includes exhibits from the collection of the brand "Flori de ie" and from the personal collection of Cristina Chiriac, which will be presented to visitors, starting with 15:00 hrs, by the actors and dancers participating in the Camp "Legaturi", in a performance choreographed by Victor Daniel Pop.

"Opened in the presence of Mrs. Oana Zaharia, manager of the National Heritage Institute, as keynote speaker, the living exhibition "Flori de ie" is part of the series of artistic events dedicated to the community of Saschiz, organized within the International Camp of Artistic Residents - 'Legaturi' under the project 'Legaturi', implemented by the Saschiz Volunteer Center in partnership with the town hall of Saschiz, Mures, and the University of Arts Targu Mures. Through this meeting we intend to present to the local community members, artists and the general public the heritage value of the Romanian blouse 'ie', as well as the possibilities of valorization of this symbol of the Romanian traditional culture, through the creation of clothing design products, which place its aesthetics and symbolism in a contemporary, coherent and articulated context," reads the Facebook page of the International Camp of Art Residency - "Legaturi".

According to the organizers, Cristina Chiriac is the founding president of the National Confederation for Women's Entrepreneurship (CONAF), and of the brand "Flori de ie", stances in which she harmoniously combines all the moral, personal and professional values that guide her: family, tradition, Romanian values, entrepreneurship and education through and in support of traditional and contemporary art.

"I want a future tailored on the aspirations of this nation, a future built on the bridges between us and not on the ruins of our indifference," said Cristina Chiriac.

The "Legaturi" camp is part of the "Legaturi" Project, implemented by the Saschiz Volunteer Center and funded by the European Union - Next Generation EU (NextGenerationEU), within the framework of Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan: "Funds for a modern and reformed Romania".
