Flu has killed 124 people in Romania so far this winter season, according to data released on Thursday by the National Centre for Communicable Disease Supervision and Control with the National of Public Health Institute.
The last four victims so far were confirmed to have had the type-A flu virus. They also had preexisting medical conditions and had not been immunised against the flu.
The latest fatalities were a 41-year old man of Vrancea County, who also was confirmed to have had measles, a 54-year old man of Bacau County and a 64-year old man of Arad County.
Moreover, the death of a woman aged 63 of Olt County has been confirmed as well.
