Fourth edition of Romanian Film Industry Day

On October 2, 2025, the fourth edition of the Romanian Film Industry Days (ZIFR) is scheduled to open at the Peasant Museum Cinema Hall in Bucharest, an event dedicated to film professionals and all those who support filmmaking in the country, according to zifr.ro.

The schedule is structured around current topics for the film sector, such as the role of infrastructure in attracting co-productions, copyright and the development of a streaming platform dedicated to Romanian films.

A debate on the role of infrastructure in attracting co-productions and services for international partners has as guests Ottinger Ildiko, production manager at NFI Studio, Hungary, and Bereczki Csaba, director, producer and director of international affairs and sales at the Hungarian Film Institute.

Also, a representative of the National Centre of Cinema in Romania participates in an interactive discussion regarding the new competition regulations of the institution, and the theme of copyright will be presented by Lorena Socolescu, representative of Dacin Sara.

Sorin Parcalab brings up the creation of a single streaming platform for Romanian films, accessible from any device.

The evening's schedule also includes the screening of the animated short film "The Magician", directed by Bogdan Muresanu, as well as a networking session organised in the courtyard of the Romanian Village Museum, meant to facilitate dialogue between specialists and supporters of the film industry.

The event is moderated by Gabriela Suciu-Paduretu, a Romanian producer with experience in the cultural and audio-visual fields for over 15 years.

Admission is on nominal invitation value.

The Romanian Film Industry Days is an event curated and organised by Camelia Popa, film and television director and manager of the Village Museum Cinema, with support from the Romanian Village Museum, the Liszt Institute - Hungarian Cultural CentreBucharest, Dacin Sara, the Italian Cultural Institute, the Italian Trade Agency and Follow Art Distribution.

The previous edition of the Romanian Film Industry Days took place on May 29, 2025, at the Village Museum Cinema. The event brought together both specialists in the field of cinema and supporters of the film industry.

The topics of discussion focused on the need for an intimacy coordinator in a film crew, the cast - from the idea to the film presented in the cinema and the copyright.

The guests of the edition were Sara Palma (Italy), certified intimacy coordinator and co-founder of intimacycordination.it, Anastasia Plazzotta (Italy), member of the board of Europa Distribution and founding member of Wanted Clan, Italy, as well as representatives of the Dacin Sara Association.

The Romanian Film Industry Days is an event dedicated to all those involved in local cinema, from multi-award-winning filmmakers to debutants, from local and central authorities to ambassadors of countries with a tradition in film co-production with Romania. Bringing together producers, directors, screenwriters, distributors and actors, the event facilitates the establishment of partnerships and the emergence of collaborative projects.
