Fragments and Sketches - Romanian Lieder and Blue Bazar, new Romanian music at Enescu Festival

Union of Composers and Musicologists of Romania (UCMR) is organizing two concerts dedicated to Romanian chamber music and Lieder in September, as part of the George Enescu International Festival.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES, the concerts will be performed by young artists such as soprano Stanca Manoleanu and the newly formed Oxygen Ensemble.

On September 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the "Constantin Silvestri" Hall of the National University of Music in Bucharest, works by George Balint, Daniela Cojocaru, Olguta Lupu, Viorel Munteanu, Mihai Maniceanu, Gabriel Malancioiu, Diana Rotaru, Dan Balan, Laura Manolache, Roman Vlad, Mihaela Vosganian, Adrian Iorgulescu, Cornelia Tautu, and Dan Dediu will be performed in a Lieder recital titled Fragments and Sketches - Romanian Lieder, delivered by Stanca Manoleanu accompanied by pianist Remus Manoleanu.

Blue Bazar is the title of the second concert, which will take place on September 11 in the Grand Hall of the Romanian Cultural Institute, at 5 p.m., presenting works by composers Roman Vlad, Louise Andriesen, Aspasia Nasopoulou, Vlad R. Baciu, Fabio Nieder, Ulpiu Vlad, Dan Dediu, and Adrian Iorgulescu, performed by the Oxygen Ensemble conducted by Vlad Baciu, which includes young Romanian performers (Andreea Grelus - violin, Carla Antonesei - flute, Catalina Bordeanu - piano, Mircea Marian - cello, and Mihai Pintenaru - clarinet).
