The price of fuels in Romania has exceeded these days the threshold of 8 RON per litre, shows the data analyzed by AGERPRES based on the Fuel Prices Monitor, an application launched by the Competition Council.
(1 EUR = 4.9490 RON)
Exceeding the threshold of 8 RON per litre represents a record for the Romanian market and comes in the context of the high demand for fuels and high prices for all the world.
Thus, a litre of premium gasoline costs 8.14 RON at OMV gas stations in Cornu and MOL commune in Busteni, on DN 1 (national road 1).
Other nearby gas stations also sell fuel at almost 8 RON. For example, a litre of premium gasoline at the Rompetrol station in Comarnic costs 7.91 RON, at Petrom Busteni it costs 7.85 RON, and at Lukoil Azuga 7.92 RON.
The premium diesel also costs over 8 RON at the same OMV and MOL gas stations (8.08 RON per litre) and very close to this threshold at Rompetrol, Lukoil and Petrom.
The barrel of oil on the European market exceeded 130 RON on Monday and was trading on Tuesday by 125 USD, amid the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
