The Government approved on Thursday a draft law for the ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding on military cooperation between Romania and Egypt, signed in Cairo, on November 2, 2025.
"Draft law for the ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding on military cooperation between the Government of Romania, represented by the Ministry of National Defense, and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Defense, signed in Cairo, on November 2, 2025. The draft law ratifies the memorandum of understanding on military cooperation between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, signed in Cairo, on November 2, 2025", the Government announced in a press release.
The memorandum of understanding offers the two parties the opportunity to develop the bilateral relationship, by creating a channel for political-military dialogue between the two states.
At the same time, the document aims to create a legal framework, in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of defense.
The draft law will be submitted to Parliament for debate and adoption.
