The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, declared on Thursday that the PSD has offered its good faith in these weeks, that it wants a stable government and will continue with this attitude.

"I am convinced that both of them [President Nicusor Dan and the interim president of the PNL, Ilie Bolojan] will communicate in the coming period. I can communicate on behalf of the PSD. The PSD has offered its good faith in all these weeks, we said that we can be part of a majority, that we want to ensure the stability of the country, that we want to have a stable government, that we go to all those working groups, either at Cotroceni, or at the Government, or at Parliament, to find solutions and have a stable government. And we continue to have this attitude. ", Grindeanu said at the PSD headquarters.

He mentioned that he is waiting for the situation related to the appointment of the new prime minister to be unblocked.

Asked whether the PSD would support a technocrat prime minister if this option were to come to fruition, Grindeanu replied that he believes that the prime minister rotation option is much better than the technocrat option.

The interim president of the PSD also mentioned that an extended vote was scheduled for Friday in the party, almost a congress, and approximately 5,000 people would have voted on whether or not to enter the government.

The PSD announced on Thursday evening, in a press release, that it had postponed the meeting of the National Political Council, which was to take place on Friday, to decide whether or not to enter the government, due to the fact that President Nicusor Dan had not appointed the prime minister.
