The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu, former Minister of Transport, declared on Monday that the opening of traffic on the southern semicircle of the A0, which connects the A1 and A2, will be felt in traffic in Bucharest from Monday.
"I believe that starting today, the traffic in Bucharest will feel the fact that we have this southern semicircle of the A0 put into circulation and it connects the A1 and A2. This is something that will certainly be felt in traffic in Bucharest, with the 4 km from Cernica to be completed by the end of the year, so that from DN1 to A2, as is the deadline, these works will be completed and we will have almost all of the A0 put into circulation by the end of this year. I repeat, and the other two lots, lot 3 and lot 4, on the northern semicircle," said Grindeanu.
The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu, held a press conference on Monday, together with his successor as Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Ciprian Serban, in the context of the opening of traffic on Lot 3 of A0 Sud (Bragadiru - Joiţa).
"Yesterday (Sunday, ed. n) I came from Timişoara and stopped for a while at the intersection of the expressway from Craiova with the A1. The works are almost completed, so that in two weeks, around July 15, this section from Albota to the A1 can also be put into circulation. Again, a very good job. But this month, July, I would like to think that lot 2 from Mizil to Pietroasele, on the A7, will also be put into circulation. And I would like to think that you will also put Tureni, the Cluj discharge, into circulation," Sorin Grindeanu also said.
He added that he will continue to put "positive pressure" on the implementation of major infrastructure projects and stressed that these projects "must not" remain without funding.
"I assure you that I will continue to put positive pressure, trying to help the Minister, the Secretary of State and Director Pistol from my new position. And here, first of all, help means ensuring financing for major projects. And these projects must not remain without financing, because what was started 2, 3, 4 years ago must continue and the highways must not be stopped," specified Sorin Grindeanu.
