Health Minister Florian Bodog and Permanent Representative of Romania to the European Union Luminita Odobescu met on Thursday in Brussels, one of the meeting's topic being the coordination of efforts for the preparation of the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council in 2019 in the Health area. "In this context, we talked about fulfilling our obligations in the Health area, under the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism. It is an essential topic, given that the Health Ministry brought solid arguments regarding the steps made in Romania for fulfilling the conditionalities established by the European Commission. Of course, we are talking about a process underway that I am determined to finalise successfully, so that we can use European funds for building the regional hospitals proposed in the governance programme of the Social Democratic Pry (PSD)," wrote the minister on his blog.
According to the dignitary, on the Health Ministry level, the interval January - June 2019 will be "an extremely intense" one. "I want 2019 to find us not only able to fulfill our obligations on European level, but also to provide Romanian patients much better health services, in maximum efficiency conditions and transparency," showed minister Bodog.
