The Minister of Health, Ioana Mihaila, on Friday told her colleagues in the coalition, "who have questions or doubts" related to the National Agency for Health Infrastructure, that its establishment was negotiated within the coalition.
"The National Agency for Health Infrastructure is a project provided in the governing programme, which was negotiated with the coalition partners. The agency 's objectives are precisely to manage major infrastructure projects, most of which are subordinated to the MH," Mihail told a press conference in Brasov.
She mentioned that, for the health infrastructure projects that belong to the local authorities, the National Agency for Health Infrastructure can offer consultancy.
"The agency also has a regulatory role, because it is clear that in Romania the regulations are missing or are insufficient, or the regulations regarding the quality criteria in this field are outdated, for example what we have as facilities, therefore it is necessary to at the level of the ministry to have specialized staff - engineers, architects to be dedicated to these projects," mentioned the Minister of Health.
