Hidroelectrica does not intend to increase electricity supply prices, the company announced on Saturday in a press release, Agerpres reports.
The announcement comes following information published in the press, according to which Hidroelectrica "can no longer honor its energy supply contracts to household customers only from its own production, as a result of the large number of consumers who have transferred to its portfolio in recent months, and this may lead to an increase in the supply price in the future."
"Following information published yesterday, August 22, in the press, Hidroelectrica wishes to clarify that it has not announced, intended, nor is it considering any increase in electricity supply prices. The company maintains its commitment to having a fair and competitive offer for its customers and reaffirms that it is not considering any unilateral change in prices for existing contracts," the statement said.
According to the cited source, the prices offered to household customers are between 1.06 - 1.14 lei/kWh, including the 21% VAT rate, depending on the regulated tariffs of each consumption location in Romania.
