The Iasi County Council, in partnership with the North-East Regional Development Agency (which brings together the counties of Bacau, Botosani, Iasi, Neamt, Suceava and Vaslui) is organising on November 21, with the support of the Institute for Project Development and Expertise (IDEP Moldova) at the Palace of Culture in Iasi the debate titled: "Partnership for Reconstruction: Establishing the Romania-Ukraine-Moldova Trilateral Chamber of Commerce".

The event brings together representatives of central and local public administrations, the business environment, professional associations, universities, as well as civil society organizations from Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. The main goal is to validate the need for establishing the Trilateral Chamber of Commerce, an economic platform dedicated to coordinating investment and reconstruction projects in Ukraine, strengthening cross-border cooperation and stimulating the European integration of the region.

President of the Iasi County Council, Costel Alexe, emphasized: "Iasi, along with the entire North-East Development Region, has the natural vocation of being a bridge between the European Union, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The establishment of the Romania-Ukraine-Moldova Trilateral Chamber of Commerce represents a strategic step to attract investments, support the reconstruction of Ukraine and consolidate a regional economic platform that will capitalize on the cooperation potential of the six counties of our region."

The debate in Iasi builds along the direction set in Brussels on June 4 this year with the presentation of the Romania-Ukraine-Moldova Trilateral Chamber of Commerce initiative, and at the European Parliament and then in Bucharest (September 9, 2025) - AMEERU public debate in the Chamber of Deputies.

The discussions will be based on the conclusions of the "AMEERU 2025 White Paper - Reconstruction of Ukraine", a strategic document that summarizes the proposals formulated at the parliamentary, economic and civic levels in the three countries.

The event's secretariat is provided by IDEP Moldova (www.idep.md), an organization with experience in promoting trilateral cooperation and facilitating interinstitutional dialogue between Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.

Participation is free, based on prior registration via the form available at https://forms.gle/uquMyZYkgY15Etpw7

The event in Iasi is part of a series of regional consultations held within the Eastern European Members of the European Parliament Alliance for the Reconstruction of Ukraine (AMEERU), initiated by MEPs Gheorghe Falca and Vasile Dincu. The aim of these consultations is to develop a common vision for the reconstruction of Ukraine and the European integration of the region, by involving the economic, academic and institutional milieu from Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
