Since the bad weather warning was issued until Thursday 07:00, firefighters have intervened in 110 localities across 22 counties and in Bucharest, evacuating water from several flooded buildings, outbuildings and yards, and removing fallen trees and poles.
"The intervention teams have evacuated water from 86 flooded buildings (59 houses, 11 cellars, 10 basements in residential blocks, one commercial operator and five public institutions), nine outbuildings, 189 yards, eight streets, removed construction debris from 20 buildings and cleared 129 trees and two electricity poles. Seventy-one vehicles were damaged," the press office of the Inspectorate General for Emergency Situations (IGSU) informed.
Interventions took place in the counties of Arges, Bacau, Brasov, Braila, Buzau, Caras-Severin, Constanta, Calarasi, Dolj, Dambovita, Galati, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Iasi, Ilfov, Neamt, Olt, Prahova, Teleorman, Tulcea, Vrancea, Valcea and in Bucharest.
In Silistea and Sinoe villages, Constanta county, nine people remain evacuated preventively to relatives' homes.
Road traffic is closed on national road DN 2A/CT and is running with difficulty on county road DJ 222A/TL.
Operations have resumed in all ports of Constanta county.
