Industrial production prices increased in January by 0.4 percent in Eurozone and by 0.3 percent in the EU compared to the previous month, the according to data published on Monday by Eurostat.
In January, the highest increases of industrial production prices were recorded in the Netherlands (2 percent), Estonia (1.2 percent), Greece (1.1 percent), the Czech Republic (1 percent), Sweden and Romania (both 0.9 percent) and the only declines were recorded in Cyprus ( minus 1.1 percent), Belgium (minus 1 percent), Finland and the United Kingdom (both minus 0.1 percent).
According to Eurostat data, in January, industrial production prices rose by 3 percent in the Eurozone and by 2.9 percent in the EU compared to the same period of 2018.
Most countries reported increases in industrial production prices in January, with most significant advances being recorded in Estonia (7.4 percent), Denmark (6.8 percent), Latvia (6.2 percent), Cyprus (6.1 percent), Hungary (6 percent), Sweden (5.5 percent), Belgium (5.4 percent) and Romania (5.3 percent), with the only decline being recorded in Ireland (minus 0.1 percent).
