Industrial production prices (domestic and external market) increased 8% in October this year compared with the same period in 2024, according to data the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Wednesday.
According to the official statistics, during the reference period the industrial price index recorded significant increases in the energy industry at 16.59%, the consumer goods industry at 6.21%, the durable goods industry at 4.91%, the intermediate goods industry at 3.7% and the capital goods industry at 2.83%.
By activity sector, the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning recorded a price hike of 20.54% in October 2025 compared with the same month of the previous year, while water distribution, sanitation, waste management and decontamination activities reported an increase of 11.48%.
Industrial production price indices also rose in the manufacturing industry by 3.62% and in the extractive industry by 3.41%.
On a month-to-month basis, October compared with September 2025, industrial production prices overall (domestic and external market) increased by 1%.
