Industrial production prices overall (domestic and foreign markets) decreased by 0.9% in December last year compared to November 2024, and by 0.7% compared to December 2023, according to data the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Tuesday.
On the domestic market, the industrial production price index recorded a decrease of 1.26% in December 2024 compared to the previous month and 2.31% compared to December of the previous year.
Regarding the external market, in December compared to November, industrial production prices were higher by 0.13%, and compared to the same month of the previous year, there was an increase of 3.55%.
On major industrial groups, in the last month of last year, price increases for industrial production were recorded in: the durable goods industry, 0.43% compared to November 2024 and 1.66% compared to December 2023, the capital goods industry - 0.42% compared to November 2024 and 4.21% compared to December 2023, the consumer goods industry - 0.32% compared to November 2024 and 4.96% compared to December 2023, and the intermediate goods industry +0.13 compared to November 2024 and 1.19% compared to December 2023. In the energy industry, a decrease of 3.16% was recorded compared to November 2024 and 7.68% compared to December 2023.
Compared to December 2023, INS data shows that, by activity sectors, prices increased in water distribution, sanitation, waste management, decontamination activities +12.03% and in the manufacturing industry - 2.25%. AGERPRES
