Inter-ministerial crisis cell set up by MRP following fire that broke out in Bergkamen, Germany

The Ministry for Romanians Abroad (MRP) urgently contacted the permanent mission of Romania in Berlin and the Consulate General in Bonn for information regarding the fire in Bergkamen (Germany) and set up an inter-ministerial crisis cell whose goal is to provide immediate assistance to the Romanians involved in the case. 

"The Ministry of Romanian Abroad urgently contacted Romania's permanent mission in Berlin and the Consulate General in Bonn to provide information and set up an inter-ministerial crisis cell, whose objective is to offer immediate assistance to the Romanians involved in the case. The MRP is in constant contact with local authorities and expects information regarding the measures taken by the German side to identify the cause of the attack ", the Ministry statement informs. 

The MRP mentioned "it's close to the Romanian community residing in Germany and watches with maximum interest" the case of the fire of the building in Bergkamen inhabited by Romanian citizens. 

"Minister for Romanian Abroad Andreea Pastirnac talked with Germany's Ambassador to Romania Cord Meier-Klodt, asking him to urgently offer details about the people injured and info about the assistance granted to Romanians left with no home. During the discussion, Andreea Pastirnac expressed her entire solidarity with the Romanian citizens victims and asked for an official position of the German side on the causes of the fire," the source quoted. 

Over 30 people were hospitalised on Friday following a fire that broke out in a building in Bergkamen, Germany, which was also inhabited by Romanian citizens.
