Romania's exports of services totaled 21.926 billion euros January through October 2021, while imports amounted to 14.52 billion euros, with a positive balance resulting of 7.406 billion euros, according to data released by the National Bank of Romania (BNR), analyzed by AGERPRES.
The transport sector contributed the most to the international trade in services with exports of 6.193 billion euros and imports of 2.706 billion euros, with a positive balance of 3.466 billion lei.
The export of IT services also had a significant positive impact. Thus, in the first ten months of 2021, Romania exported IT services worth 4.043 billion euros and imported IT services worth 1.644 billion euros, with a positive balance resulting of 2.399 billion euros.
On the other hand, tourism has had the biggest negative impact. Romania only exported tourism services worth 2.042 billion euros and imported tourism services of 3.586 billion euros, with a negative balance resulting of -1.545 billion euros.
