The investments under the ''Anghel Saligny'' program will not be frozen said on Wednesday the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu, leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), at the end of the government coalition meeting.
"For PSD it is extremely important to have reached three points. The first - related to the proposals that PSD has for the state reform to be included in package [of measures, editor;s note] 2, the correction of some decisions in the adopted package 1 and the identification of sound funding mechanisms for the continued implementation of essential community investments through the national program. 'Anghel Saligny'. We believe that we have succeeded in bringing a voice of reason to the table - the investments under "Anghel Saligny" will not be frozen", Grindeanu said in Parliament.
He underlined that the ''Anghel Saligny'' program is not a political one, exemplifying the positions of some mayors from all parties who have argued that it should continue.
Grindeanu announced that the coalition has decided that, over the next two to three weeks, each County Council president, together with the prefect of their respective county, will meet at the Ministry of Development to review each project individually - assessing its status and stage of financing - to ensure that none of the projects will be frozen.
