Minister of Investments and European Projects Dragos Pislaru will deliver joint press statements on Friday alongside Executive Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness Roxana Minzatu and Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Cohesion and Reforms Raffaele Fitto.
The press statements take place on the sidelines of the high level conference regarding the future of the cohesion policy "Cohesion 2027+: a driver of long-term development, inclusive economic competitiveness and resilience across Europe."
The event strengthens the permanent demarches of Romania for a future strong Cohesion Policy that will remain the EU's main structural investments policy in the long term, supporting a harmonious development and eliminating development gaps, the organizers mentioned.
Furthermore, the conference takes place in a defining moment for the European Union, in the context of the political discussions regarding the post-2027 multiannual financial framework. In this context, the meeting represents an opportunity for the officials in charge with implementing the cohesion policy and for the high-ranking decision-makers in the EU to debate before taking decisions regarding the strategic directions which will shape the 2028-2034 programming period.
The public sessions of the conference will be streamed live on the Facebook page and the Youtube channel of the Ministry of Investments and Economic Projects (MIPE).
