President Klaus Iohannis voiced his hope on Tuesday that the first draft of a country project will be completed by the end of this year.
"We are doing quite well; last week there was a new session, a few steps were made, and hopefully we will manage to move so that by the end of the year we may have a first draft that will follow us into the centennial year," Iohannis said, after he participated in a military ceremony on the occasion of the commemoration of 100 years since the Battle of Marasti.
He showed that the Battle of Marasti was special, as its victory materialised in making up Greater Romania.
"Back then, in 1917, there was this will, but no one had the guarantee that this was going to happen, as all Romanians today are hoping to understand each other and develop Romania and Romania becomes a prosperous, stable, European country, and I hope in 100 years from now on those living then find that we have done our job together and this is what happened," Iohannis said.
