Iohannis: Romania's accession to OECD remains a major foreign policy objective
President Klaus Iohannis said on Tuesday that Romania's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) remains a major foreign policy objective, urging domestic institutions to remain involved and active in this strategic file.
"Romania's accession to OECD remains a major foreign policy objective. You will continue to be seriously involved in the advancement of this process. It also entails an internal transformation of policies, practices and legislation, but which will bring us clear benefits and I am urging all internal institutions to remain involved and active in this strategic file," Iohannis told a meeting at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace with heads of Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices and directors of Romanian cultural institutes.
