The application through which Romanians can obtain all pension-related data could be ready by September, said on Wednesday at the Palace of Parliament, the Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Bogdan Ivan.
"By September we will be ready with the single application and I trust my colleagues at the Ministry of Labor that they will be able to fully digitize all this information, so that we can make it functional in the application (...). At the moment (...) we are in the final phase of this application. It will be ready in September (...). My colleague, Simona Bucura, did an extraordinary job, in a year or so, she managed to bring over 80% of all this data to the current moment in digital format and it is an ongoing process. The moment we have 99% of the data about everything that means seniority in work, we will also be able to operate that option in the single state application, in which people can, in a very simple way, directly on their laptop, tablet or phone, see how much they have contributed to the pension system, see how much they still have to contribute if they do not have the full seniority," specified Ivan, answering a question on this topic.
He emphasized that Romanians who have worked in another EU member state will be able to consult the contribution in that state in the application.
"If they worked in another EU member state, they will be able to directly consult the contribution in that state, and the Pension House will be able, through the application we manage, to obtain all the information from Germany, France, Spain or anywhere else in the European Union directly, without having to carry out correspondence or have the person travel there," explained Ivan.
