Romanian tennis player Jaqueline Adina Cristian won on Friday the title in the doubles event of the ITF Tournament in Pune (India), featuring prizes worth 25,000 dollars and is set to play the singles event final.
Adina Cristian and Tereza Mihalikova (Slovakia), seeded no. 4th, prevailed 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 over pairing Pei-Chi Lee (Taiwan)/Yana Sizikova (Russia), seeded no.3.
In the singles' event, Jaqueline Cristian (aged 19, 254 WTA), second seed, defeated 6-4, 6-3 in the semifinal Zeel Desai (India), 18-year-old player, currently ranked 718th in the world.
In the final act, the Romanian player will face off Karman Kaur Thandi (India), 3rd seed, a 19-year-old player, currently ranked 310th in the world.AGERPRES .
