The 16th edition of the KINOdiseea International Film Festival for Young Audiences kicks off on Wednesday, October 9, informs a press release from Bucharest District 3 City Hall sent to AGERPRES on Monday.

This year's edition of the festival will run until Sunday, October 13 at Gloria Cinema Hall and Peasant Museum Cinema in Bucharest.

This year's edition brings an impressive selection of films to audiences of all ages. The screenings are accompanied by fun and interactive activities: juggling on stilts, balloon modelling and face painting, the source said.

The films screened at KINOdissea are bold productions with educational and social themes that are not part of the traditional distribution network. They have been acclaimed by international audiences and critics from all over the world and have won awards at major competitions such as Annecy International Animated Film Festival, BUFF Malmo, Kristiansand CFF, Locarno Kids IFF, Just Film CFF Tallinn and Zlin CFF 2024.

The selection of feature-length films at the 16th edition of the festival includes: Fox and Hare Save the Forest directed by Mascha Halberstad, The Pinchers' High Voltage Heist directed by Leif Lindblom, Sirocco and the Kingdom of the Winds directed by Benoit Chieux, Greetings from Mars directed by Sarah Winkenstette, Nina and the Secret of the Hedgehog directed by Jean-Loup Felicioli and Alain Gagnol, Max und die wilde 7: Die Geister-Oma (Max and the wild 7: The ghost grandma) directed by Winfried Oelsner.
