The Liberals (members of the National Liberal Party) sent on Tuesday a letter to President of the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) Valer Dorneanu, requesting the notification of the Venice Commission regarding the Justice Laws, according to a release sent to AGERPRES.
"We believe that now, when pending notifications whose solving is vital for the full observance of the principle of the separation and balance of powers, in order to fully accomplish the role bestowed on the Honorable Court by the Constitution of Romania and the law, as well as for strengthening the Romanian democracy, it's necessary to get a point of view of the Venice Commission, a point of view that will represent an element of support of the Constitutional Court's jurisdiction activity," the letter reveals.
