By 18:00 on Sunday, 491,905 voters had cast their ballots in the election for the office of mayor of the Capital, representing 27.27% of those on the electoral rolls, according to real-time data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
Of these, 480,202 voted on permanent and supplementary rolls, 9,685 on additional rolls and 2,018 using the mobile ballot box.
Voter turnout by sector was 30.16% in Sector 1, 27.69% in Sector 2, 22.75% in Sector 3, 29.50% in Sector 4, 24.86% in Sector 5 and 31.03% in Sector 6.
There are 1,803,728 voters registered on the permanent and supplementary rolls in Bucharest.
At the previous local elections on 9 June 2024 turnout in Bucharest at 18:00 stood at 29.40%.
