By 21:00, the hour the polling stations closed, 589,918 voters had cast their ballots in the election for the general mayor of Bucharest on Sunday, representing 32.71% of those registered on the electoral lists, according to real-time data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
Of these, 576,961 voted on permanent and supplementary lists, 10,925 on additional lists, and 2,032 via mobile ballot boxes.
Voter turnout by sector was as follows:
Sector 1 - 36.73%
Sector 2 - 33.10%
Sector 3 - 27.27%
Sector 4 - 35.42%
Sector 5 - 29.56%
Sector 6 - 37.11%
A total of 1,803,728 voters are registered on the permanent and supplementary lists in Bucharest.
At the previous local elections, held on 9 June 2024, voter turnout in Bucharest at 21:00 was 39.26%.
