Social Democratic Party (PSD) candidate for Bucharest mayor Daniel Baluta, the mayor of Sector 4, said that the exit-poll results are 'inconclusive,' that the vote count is essential, and urged anyone with 'wrong intentions' to abandon them.

'First of all, I would like to wholeheartedly thank the people of Bucharest who turned out to vote today, as well as those who did not. I want to thank my colleagues, I want to thank the volunteer teams we had in the field for doing nothing other than showing in this electoral campaign that it is about results and performance. Regarding the exit-poll results, they are inconclusive, the vote count is essential, and I ask all my colleagues at the polling stations to be extremely vigilant, and I urge anyone with wrong intentions to forget them. We will monitor the vote count until the last second. That is all I have to say,' Baluta said at the PSD headquarters.

National Liberal Party (PNL) candidate for Bucharest mayor Ciprian Ciucu garnered 32.7% of the votes, while PSD candidate Daniel Baluta was credited with 26.3%, according to the CURS-Avangarde exit-poll.

Independent candidate Anca Alexandrescu, supported by the Alliance for Romanians' Union (AUR), placed third with 20.2%, followed by Save Romania Union (USR) candidate Catalin Drula with 12.8% and Ana Ciceala with 6%.

The data are valid as of 19:30.
