The concrete ways of enhancing the bilateral cooperation relations between Romania and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan were discussed by Secretary of State Maria Magdalena Grigore and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, during the Romanian official's working visit to Jordan on 10 and 11 December.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, Secretary of State for Inter-Institutional Relations Maria Magdalena Grigore had bilateral consultations with Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, in the context of the preparation of the Jordanian Foreign Minister's official visit to Romania, in 2019."The discussions reviewed the state of the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and examined the concrete ways of enhancing them.The two sides welcomed the progress made in recent years in the field of economic cooperation and expressed interest in developing sectoral partnerships and involvement in joint projects on third markets in the region. Aspects of bilateral cooperation have been equally addressed in view of Romania's taking over the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 1 January 2019, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan being a privileged partner in the relations with the EU, and also southern holder of the Co-Presidency of the Union for the Mediterranean," the cited source specifies.
