Total manufacturers' new orders in Romania (domestic and foreign markets combined) posted a 17-percent increase in nominal terms in the first ten months of 2018, compared with January 1 - October 31, 2017, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) reported on Wednesday.
October 2018 Manufacturing new orders (domestic and foreign markets combined) increased by 20.3 percent in nominal terms compared with the previous month and by 21.9 percent, y-o-y.
According to the INS, the manufacturing new orders in the first ten months of 2018 advanced 17.0 percent against the same period of last year, as a result of increases in the capital goods industry (+ 20.3 percent), intermediate goods industry (+ 14.7 percent), durable goods industry (+ 8.6 percent) and the consumer goods industry (+ 5.0 percent).
In October 2018, manufacturers' new orders increased by 20.3 percent on a monthly basis as a result of increases in the capital goods industry (+ 28.3 percent), consumer goods industry (+11.4 percent), intermediate goods industry (+ 9.0 percent) and the durable goods industry (+ 4.3 percent).
October 2018 versus October 2017, manufacturing new orders increased by 21.9 percent on increases in the capital goods industry (+ 28.9 percent), intermediate goods industry (+12.3 percent), durable goods industry (+ 11.6 percent) and the consumer goods industry (+9.5 percent).
