The Maramures County Council held discussions with representatives of the Council of Europe Development Bank on the possibility for the county to contract a loan with this bank for management projects that require co-financing to be fully implemented, the County Council's hairs, Gabriel Zetea, informs on Friday.
According to him, the possibility of contracting a loan that would allow the completion of investment projects is being analyzed.
"Yesterday [Thursday - editor's note] was an extremely important day for the Maramures County Council, having representatives of the Council of Europe Development Bank with us throughout the day. We openly discussed our county's projects, the challenges we face and the concrete solutions we are looking for to bring them to fruition. In Maramures, there are many projects with completed feasibility studies, but without the necessary co-financing to become a reality. Therefore, we are analyzing with maximum responsibility the possibility of contracting an advantageous loan, which would allow the development of the county's infrastructure and strategic objectives," Gabriel Zetea wrote on his Facebook page.
The chair of the Maramures County Council also emphasised that he wanted the bank's representatives to assess the projects awaiting co-financing on site.
"We want safe and sustainable solutions, and in this sense we have shown maximum transparency by inviting the delegation of the Council of Europe Development Bank to see with their own eyes the projects we have on the table and which are waiting to be implemented. I believe in these discussions and I am confident that the final answer will be the one we are waiting for! (...) We do not make decisions lightly, but we do not stand still either," Gabriel Zetea also specified.
