National Liberal Party (PNL) deputy Alina Gorghiu, former Minister of Justice, reminds that the mechanism for granting vouchers to victims of crimes, managed by the Ministry of Justice, is operational and notes that this year six victims have received 21 vouchers, with a total value of 102,750 lei.

"Victims need to know where they can seek help! The mechanism for granting vouchers to crime victims, managed by the Ministry of Justice, is working. When needed, they receive concrete support to cover urgent needs - food, accommodation, medication, transport, or hygiene and personal use items," Gorghiu wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

The first vouchers for victims were awarded in 2024.

"I have now requested the Ministry for an up-to-date situation for this year. In 2025, six victims have received 21 vouchers, with a total value of 102,750 lei," Alina Gorghiu added.

These were awarded by: Bucharest Tribunal - 18,500 lei for one victim; Dolj Tribunal - 54,000 lei for three victims (18,000 lei each); Timi? Tribunal - 20,250 lei for one victim; and Cluj Tribunal - 10,000 lei for one victim.

"These amounts represent essential support for people going through extremely difficult moments. I thank DGASPC Cluj, Dolj, and Timi?, public entities involved in the voucher distribution mechanism, as well as the Association for the Development of Alternative Reintegration and Education Practices, a private entity enrolled in this mechanism. I urge everyone involved to provide even more support and encourage victims to request this aid, as financial resources are available. Every voucher counts!" the PNL deputy stated.

According to the Ministry of Justice, beneficiaries are individuals against whom an attempt was made to commit murder or aggravated murder, as provided under Articles 188 and 189 of the Penal Code; bodily harm, under Article 194; an intentional offence resulting in bodily injury to the victim; rape, sexual acts with a minor, and sexual assault, under Articles 218-220; human trafficking and trafficking of minors, under Articles 210 and 211; terrorism; as well as any other intentional offence committed with violence.
