The collaboration between the two countries within the UN was also discussed, as well as topics of interest concerning international evolutions from Central Asia. The two parties appreciated as positive the diplomatic-political dynamic dialogue and highlighted the importance of valorization of the existing potential on the economic scale," the press release mentions.

According to MAE, another topic brought to the attention by the head of the Romanian diplomacy was Romania's taking over, on January 1, 2019, of the quarterly presidency of the Council of the European Union, context in which he made reference to the perspective of launching a new EU strategy for Central Asia.
