Military, religious ceremony at Tomb of Unknown Soldier in Carol Park, downtown Bucharest

A military and religious wreaths ceremony took place on Friday morning at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Carol Park, downtown Bucharest, to mark the National Day, an event attended by the heads of the two Chambers of the Parliament, the Senate's Calin Popescu-Tariceanu and the Chamber of Deputies' Liviu Dragnea, alongside the Ambassador of the United States of America in Bucharest Hans Klemm. 

The wreaths ceremony in honour of the nation's heroes was preceded by the singing of the state anthem and a religious service delivered by a group of priests. 

The Carol Park ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Romanian Army, of the war veterans' associations, of the military retreat and reserve staff, and of guests. 

Were laid wreaths on behalf of Romania's President, of the President of the Senate, of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, of the Government, alongside wreaths on behalf of the diplomatic corps, the National Defence Ministry's, the War Veterans' National Association's, the Internal Affairs Ministry's, the Bucharest City Hall's, and on several political parties' behalf. 

The apotheosis of the ceremony was given by the Honour Guard which presented the honour at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on the music performed by the 30th Guard Brigade "Mihai Viteazul".
