Thus, between January 1 and October 30, 2022, activity in the extractive industry recorded a jump of 103.4%, and that of the processing industry, by 24.6%, compared to the previous year.

By large industrial groups, turnover increases were recorded in the following sectors: the energy industry (+106%), intermediate goods industry (+24.2%), consumer goods industry (+22.5%), capital goods industry (+20.3%) and the durable goods industry (+11.4%).

According to the cited source, in October of this year, industrial turnover increased overall, in nominal terms, by 27.2% compared to the same month in 2021, due to results in the manufacturing industry (+27.3%) and the mining and quarrying industry (+25.2%).

In the same period, by large industrial groups, increases were recorded in: the energy industry (+56.1%), the capital goods industry (+44.3%), the consumer goods industry (+19.5%), the intermediate goods industry (+14.9%) and the durable goods industry (+12.7%).

The INS data also reveal that in October 2022, as compared to September 2022, industrial turnover decreased, in nominal terms, by 2.5%, as a result of the activities recorded in the mining and quarrying industry (-7.6%) and in the manufacturing industry (-2.3%).

By large industrial groups, there were decreases in: the intermediate goods industry (-4.8%), the consumer goods industry (-3.9%), the energy industry (-2.3%) and the capital goods industry (-0.5%). Conversely, the durable goods industry grew by 6.8%, from one month to the next. AGERPRES
