The press is a fundamental component of the state of law, stated on Monday, the Minister-Delegate for Romanians Abroad, Maria Ligor, on the occasion of the opening of a training course for young journalists from the Republic of Moldova.
According to a press release of the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), Ligor stated that such an initiative intends to contribute to Romania's actions to support the European path of the Republic of Moldova. The minister explained that these courses aim to create a space for sharing experience and knowledge regarding European Union standards and norms but also the practice of European journalists.
The training course for young journalists in the Republic of Moldova is held in Bucharest between December 12 - 18, 2016 and gathers 25 journalists from across the Pruth River. They will participate in 10 workshops led by specialists in the Romanian press. Within the programme, a component of internship is also included, the participants having the possibility to train in media institutions in Romania, mentions MAE.
